Airbus Defence and Space at Living Planet Symposium

Latest satellite data-derived findings on the Earth’s environment and climate

Airbus Defence and Space is this week attending the European Space Agency’s Living Planet Symposium.

Held in Edinburgh on 9–13 September, the event brings together more than 1,500 scientists and users from across the globe to present their latest findings on the Earth’s environment and climate derived from satellite data.

CryoSat

Airbus Defence and Space will be promoting its extensive experience in this field, showcasing missions like the Earth Explorer (CryoSat, GOCE, SMOS, Swarm) satellites as well as its airborne synthetic aperture radar expertise. Airbus Defence and Space will be exhibiting the latest imagery from its optical satellites Pleiades and SPOT 6 and radar satellites TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X. Furthermore the EDRS (SpaceDataHighway) programme will be showcased at the Airbus Defence and Space stand.

Airbus Defence and Space will also be participating in a variety of conference sessions, including Biomass – the next Earth Explorer mission.
