On stage at the world’s largest IT trade fair
With the help of Airbus Defence and Space’s Mars Rover Bridget, AIRBUS Group CEO Tom Enders gave the keynote speech at the opening ceremony of CeBIT 2013, the world’s largest trade fair for digital IT and telecommunications solutions (Hanover, 4 March).
Mr Enders is the first executive from outside the IT industry to take part in the opening ceremony of CeBIT. After his speech, he joined German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, and Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, to formally launch CeBIT with help from Bridget, the Airbus Defence and Space Mars Rover.
This wonder of technology can not only climb over boulders and drill holes into the surface of Mars, but also independently determine its own way across the planet, Mr Enders told the CeBIT participants.
