Paris, 5 december 2008 - This year’s special prize of the French Aeronautical and Astronautical Association (3AF) has gone to François Auque, president and CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the space sector and his remarkable career in the aerospace industry.
“3AF is honouring this great champion of the European space industry, who has fought to maintain Europe’s rightful place in space,” declared 3AF president Michel Scheller during the prize-giving ceremony.
François Auque, for his part, thanked 3AF for the work it has done to promote the aerospace sector, and his colleagues for the many successes they have achieved this year.
