Flight 200: Ariane 5 ES/ATV

Flight 200 is the 56th Ariane 5 launch and the first in 2011. An A5 ES will be used for this flight, equipped with a reignitable 3rd stage.

Flight 200 is a commercial mission for Ariane 5. Launcher 544 dedicated to this mission is the 52nd production launcher and the twenty-ninth of the PA batch of 30 launchers for which AIRBUS DEFENCE AND SPACE is production prime contractor. It is the second of the A5ES series and consists of a lower composite identical to that of the A5/ECA version (EAP with overloaded segment S1, EPC type P2 with Vulcain 2 engine) and an upper composite comprising an EPS P2000 and a composite VEB. This launcher is the 31st complete launcher delivered to Arianespace, integrated and inspected under the responsibility of AIRBUS DEFENCE AND SPACE in the launcher integration building (BIL). In a single-payload configuration using a long pattern fairing, it will carry the second ATV (Automated Transfer Vehicle) cargo carrier for the European Space Agency (ESA). The ATV will deliver supplies to the International Space Station (ISS).
